After returning to Canada from living abroad for 14 years, I was thrilled to start a more permanent hobby, knowing I would be settling down in Canada. That hobby quickly became a passion for woodworking, which I enhanced with a small laser engraver to personalize the items I crafted.

Just before the COVID pandemic struck, I suffered a significant back injury on the job, which made returning to construction work unlikely. This challenge prompted me to transform my hobby into a business. I upgraded from a 7-watt diode laser to a powerful 150-watt CO2 laser, allowing me to expand my product range and improve my creations.

As a father of three, fondly referred to as my "three storms," I love designing games and puzzles to enjoy with my kids. This passion sparked the initial focus of my business: crafting engaging wooden games for family game nights. From this passion, 3 Storms Creations was born.

We started by offering personalized wooden games like Dice Baseball, Cribbage, Farkle, and Euchre to our local community. As word spread, we expanded our reach to Etsy and eventually to customers worldwide. Today, I use a 150-watt CO2 laser and a 50-watt fibre laser to create games and game-related items. Recently, I've added a UV printer to my toolkit, enabling me to add vibrant colours to personalized orders.
